If you landed on this page, you are most likely recovering from a plastic surgery. I know exactly how you might be feeling right now. I work with patients like you on a daily basis. You might be in pain, your skin may be bruised and numb here and there, you might feel like there’s puffiness or fluid accumulation, and your scars may be healing very slowly. And you might be anxious – about the end results of the procedure, about being in pain, and limited in movement and activities of daily living. I am here to help! I use Dr. Vodder’s Manual Lymph Drainage as a rehab therapy for skin and tissues affected by cosmetic surgery.

Plan your MLD treatments in advance
The best results are achieved if MLD is performed right before and within a 4-week period after surgery. MLD is light enough on the skin not to add any discomfort. At the beginning only unaffected areas surrounding the wound are treated to stimulate a healthy lymphatic flow. Later on in the recovery, severed lymph vessels are regenerated by direct scar treatment with MLD. Preoperative treatments prepare, decongest and help the tissue to be in the best possible state prior to surgery. On average, just two preoperative and five to ten postoperative MLD sessions will significantly improve healing. Dr. Vodder’s MLD has protocols to treat every lymphatic area of the body, which makes it suitable for any kind of surgery, including facelifts, liposuction, breast implants, etc.
