Katya is a licensed massage therapist, Vodder school certified manual lymph drainage therapist, and an energy medicine practitioner based in Newton and Boston, MA.
Through a skillful integration of massage therapy and subtle energy work Katya invites her clients to relax deeply and enjoy the gift of incarnate experience, being in the human form. Having a thorough knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology, Katya combines western therapeutic massage modalities with shiatsu, and craniosacral therapy to create a healing experience that is integrative and transformative. She’s been helping her clients with stress relief, chronic tension and pain, injury and surgery rehabilitation, and postural imbalances. Her energy work is an invitation to cultivate lightness of the body, joy in the heart, and clarity of the mind.
A big focus of Katya’s practice is Dr. Vodder’s manual lymph drainage for wellness. Katya has been trained and certified by Dr. Vodder School International to use this pain relieving, restorative, detoxifying, and deeply balancing manual therapy in patients with edema and pain after cosmetic, orthopedic surgery, in burn patients and for auto-immune diseases.
Born and raised in Russia, Katya moved to the US in pursuit of her lifelong interest in complementary medicine. She studied shamanic healing arts with Dr. Alberto Villoldo and indigenous healers of Peru, continuing her training at the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Boston. She is a graduate of the Luminous Healing and Energy Medicine program at the Four Winds Society in Park City, UT. She is currently studying oriental medicine, specializing in Chinese and Japanese acupuncture styles, and Chinese herbal medicine at the New England School of Acupuncture.
Katya maintains a strong connection with her family and roots in Russia and Ukraine, serving her communities in both the New World and the Old.
